MCEA Paul Dimitriadis Scholarship Awards, MCEA Fredrick Hipp Achievement Award and MCEA Friend of Public Education Award can be obtained by clicking on the links under Award information or through your local association president.
The Awards will be presented at the May 17, 2012 MCEA Awards/Representative Council Meeting. The deadline for the Paul Dimitriadis Scholarship application is March 8, 2012. The deadline for the MCEA Friend of Edcuation Award and the MCEA Fredrick Hipp Achievement Award is March 15, 2012.
MCEA PAUL DIMITRIADIS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS. MCEA will award two $1,000 scholarships to children of MCEA members. The student is asked to write an essay, which will be judged by an impartial outside party. Spread the word about these scholarships. MCEA FREDRICK HIPP ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. MCEA has recognized a local association leader for the past several years. Any member can be nominated; however, nominations must be accompanied by written rationale.
MCEA FRIEND OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AWARD. This award was initiated in 1988 and is given to a person who has helped our schools but is not eligible for MCEA membership. Nomination must describe the nominees contribution to public education. ___________________________________________________
